Self-discharge:Pale Blue batteries have very low dormancy and self-discharge characteristics. This is one of the advantages of a lithium-ion battery with a control circuit, compared to an alkaline or NiMH battery, where the cell discharges directly into the circuit (without a control circuit). The battery's lifespan in dormant mode depends partly on the environment. High ambient temperatures and high humidity increase internal discharge. However, under normal circumstances, a battery installed in a device, such as a door lock, will last approximately 12 months.
